Recording notice for call participants

Last updated: August 17, 2026

1. What is happening, and what you can do right now

A candidate taking part in this interview asked 0feedback to record and analyze their own interview, so that they can get feedback on how they came across. The notetaker you see in the call is doing that, and nothing else. It joins, records, and stays silent.

If you do not want to be recorded, you have three options, and any of them works:

You are not required to agree to anything on this page. Opening it does not mean you have consented to anything.

2. Who is responsible for this recording

The candidate decided to record this interview and asked us to produce a written review of it for themselves. They chose the call, the time, and the purpose. 0feedback supplies the notetaker and the analysis on their instruction.

This is different from our other product, where a hiring organization records candidates. Here, nobody at the hiring side asked for this recording, and the hiring organization receives nothing from us.

3. Whether this recording is lawful

Recording rules differ by country and by state, and in some of them everyone on a call has to agree before it may be recorded.

The person who arranged this recording is responsible for having the right to make it. Our terms require the candidate to tell the other participants that the call is being recorded, and the notetaker announces itself in the call chat when it joins so that nobody finds out afterwards.

We do not verify, and cannot verify, the law where each participant is sitting. If recording is not permitted in your situation, use any of the three options in section 1 — the first one takes effect immediately and does not require us.

4. What we process about you

If you speak during the call, we process:

The transcript, including your words and your display name, is sent to an AI model provider to produce the candidate's review.

We do not ask you for an account, an email address, or any other detail, and we do not collect anything about you beyond what happens in the call itself.

We do not ask for special category data (such as data about health, ethnicity, religion, or political views), and the review is written about how the candidate answered interview questions — not about you. We cannot promise that such information is stripped out of a recording of a live conversation, and we would rather say so than claim a filter we do not have.

5. What the candidate receives

The review we produce is about the candidate — how their answers came across, where they were convincing, and what to prepare for next time.

It quotes the conversation verbatim, which means it can quote a question you asked, and it identifies speakers by the display names used in the call.

The review is delivered to the candidate only. We do not send it to the hiring organization, and we do not sell it, publish it, or use it for advertising. The candidate can choose to share their own review with someone else via a private link.

6. Who else sees this data

We use service providers ("sub-processors") to operate the product, strictly to provide it to us:

These providers act on our instructions and are bound by contracts that restrict how they may use the data. Neither of the two providers that see the content of this call uses it to train AI models — that is written into Recall.ai's transcription documentation and into Anthropic's Commercial Terms of Service. Neither do we.

Some of these providers may process data outside your country or the EEA. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards required by law, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

7. How long it is kept

The recording is deleted from our recording provider after 7 days, by a nightly job. The transcript we keep for as long as the candidate's account exists — it is what their review is written from.

You can ask us to delete this call, and we will. Write to hello@0feedback.com, tell us roughly when the call took place and who was in it, and we will delete the recording and the transcript, or tell you if a law requires us to keep something.

8. Your rights

If the GDPR or a similar law applies to you, you have the right to:

To exercise any of these, write to hello@0feedback.com. We will respond within the time the law allows (generally one month).

Because you have no account with us, we may ask you for enough detail to find the right call — for example its date, time and platform — before we act.

9. How the data is protected

Access to a review is limited to the person who ordered it, through a private link. Reviews are not listed publicly and are not indexed by search engines. Data is encrypted in transit, and our service providers are bound by contract in how they may handle it.

10. Changes

We may update this notice. The current version is always at https://0feedback.com/t. Material changes are reflected in the "last updated" date above.
